Two workshops were conducted on the topic ‘A Talk On Hour Of Code’ by Kundan International School with the collaboration of Rotary Chandigarh Midtown on 9th December 2022. The first workshop was for the students of classes 4th and 5th and the second workshop was for the students of classes 6th and 7th. Mrs Kadam was the expert in both workshops. It was attended by Mrs Nandita Sisiodia (Interact Clubs Coordinator of Rotary Chandigarh Midtown), Col (Dr.) Rajesh Jasiyal (Director), students and teachers of Kundan International School. There were around 150 participants in both workshops and it started with the introduction of our eminent expert followed by his lecture, and Coding Session and it ended with a vote of thanks.
In the first workshop, Mrs Kadam showed various projects from scratch with the integration of hardware to make the project interactive. Those projects generated curiosity among students regarding coding. Some of the students did hands-on practice on scratch projects also.
In the second workshop, Mrs Kadam uses a Microbit Environment to train the Microbit Hardware for different purposes such as to sense the temperature. She explained how the Microbit can be coded using scratch as well as python. It was very informative for students.
At the end of the workshops, Ms Kavita Koundal, HOD of the IT Department gave a vote of thanks for sharing their vast knowledge of programming.
